Born and raised amidst the vibrant landscapes of the South Valley, Robert's roots run deep, intertwining with the very essence of the region he calls home. For the past 10 years, Robert has owned a small business that not only sustains his livelihood but also provides opportunity for his fellow community members. He is committed to fostering growth and prosperity for all.
As a devoted husband to a lifelong educator and a loving father of four, Robert's familial values are a testament to the strength and compassion that guide his actions. His dedication to his loved ones extends beyond the home, spilling over into his role as a community leader.
Robert's journey as a community leader has been marked by his unyielding determination to effect positive change. Since 2007, he has been an integral part of the GHH Alliance board, assuming various roles to ensure the organization's mission is carried out with utmost integrity.
In addition to his involvement with the GHH Alliance, Robert currently serves as the president of the Pajarito Village Association, a role that allows him to directly impact the lives of those within his community. Through his leadership, the association is a collective force for change, advocating for progress and inclusivity.
Robert's dedication extends beyond professional and community pursuits; his philanthropic spirit shines brightly as he was honored with the South Valley Outstanding Citizen award in 2008. This recognition was a testament to his exceptional volunteer work, underscoring his commitment to uplifting the lives of others and creating a more vibrant and harmonious society. Born and raised in the South Valley, Sam has lived 1/3 mile north of the GHH for 43 years and has volunteered as GHH docent since 2018. He has an accounting degree and master’s in management from UNM, was Director of Accounting for PNM and enjoys making and carving Spanish Colonial furniture and learning about NM history.

Flora is a retired educator, served eight years as elected member, and three-term president of the New Mexico State Board of Education, and before fully retiring, contracted with a nonprofit in Minneapolis, MN for whom she provided hundreds of presentations in 48 U.S. states and in several foreign countries on four continents.
